Betadine cold sore ointment, if applied at the first signs of a cold sore (usually a tingling or itching sensation) can help to check the infection.

This product can help reduce the risk of spreading the infection.

If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.

Apply liberally to the affected areas at least four times a day.

Povidone-Iodine preparations should not be applied over a long period and to large areas of the skin unless strictly indicated.

Not to be used in known hypersensitivity to Iodine or povidone.

If irritation, redness or swelling develops, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
