How are dates made?

Dates are grown on the huge date palm, a flowering palm which produces this edible sweet fruit.

Date palms can take between 4-8 years to begin fruiting.

The dates grow in clumps.

Dates are such a versatile ingredient. Common in middle eastern foods they can be added to salads, curries and even pizza. Make raw treats, Paleo bars or your own salted caramel from dates. They are the perfect quick snack filled with nut butter or cream cheese - Delicious!

Store below 30°C in a dry place away from sunlight.
