Ruta grav has been traditionally used for symptoms related to sprains and strains of knees, wrists and ankles, contusion of the bone, similar to Arnica. It may help with symptoms of stiffness and pain in the joints and limbs with bruised weakness and weariness and may be indicated after blows and fractures, surgery to bony areas and dental surgery. Mainly used in home prescribing to treat the symptoms of sprains and strains, injured joints, tendons and bruised bones. Eyestrain, weakness or lameness following a sprain may also respond well to Ruta grav.
